We ran or walked a section of the Metacomet Trail in Penwood Park that was very rocky and uphill. We did maybe 5 or 6 up and downs, enough to drench my tee-shirt. I could not run many parts of it due to steepness and balance issues. I am trying not to get hurt. Still it was a good workout.
Went to Fit Playground. ran 800 yards, did 15 burpees, 10 pullups and climbed a swinging swaying cargo net. I could not do the rope climb or monkey bars, ran another 800 yards, did it again, ran 800 yards, did 20 pushups, 20 plank to pushup position, 20 medicine ball slams, and 20 geting up from ground without using your hands (I had to), then ran 800 yards and did it again, all in excessive humidity.
Ran 3.75 miles in 42 minutes that includes some time stopped at lights waiting for traffic. Ran back from the rent-a-car place with a detour up Tunxis Ave and around the golf course. Temp was 75 degrees. Humidity was 79%. Ran slow.
Ran 2.4 miles in 24 minutes then did some climbing and exercises in the park. It was hot. 90's. rant at 4 in afternoon. Used my water belt.
We ran up a short steep hill and then did exercises at the top. Ran the hill about eight times. Very hot.
Ran only three miles on trail today with class. i was very tired during run, not so much afterwards. Have to be careful to get overtrained. Today's run was designed to give us some rest.
Ran one mile, did 20 pushups, ran two miles, did 10 burpees, ran 3 miles, did 20 tricep dips. Did it all in heat and humidity. Did not stop. Ran very slowly up hill with lots of exhaling.
Ran today with my training group. I do not look forward to these runs. Hot humid, and I am slow. I am dreading the heat and humidity we will likely face on race day.
Hot humid night. We met at the Fit Playground. Not a lot of people came tonight. We did some exercises inside than ran to the park with medicine balls. I grabbed a 20 pound ball, which was a mistake as I could not run with it. I was soon left behind everyone. tonight was the first time I was the slowest in the group. We ran up a large grassy hill 8 times, and at the end of each run did exercises. After the last run, we rolled down the hill. I rolled right into a wet muddy spatch that stopped me. Then I could hardly stand I was so dizzy.
