Indoor Duathlon
Ran 2 miles on the treadmill, then road the bike for 30 minutes (8 Miles) and then ran 2 more miles. Felt good.
My log of becoming a "triathlete" at age 48, and continuing through age 55.
Ran 2 miles on the treadmill, then road the bike for 30 minutes (8 Miles) and then ran 2 more miles. Felt good.
Ran 2 miles at the gymn in a little over 10:00 min/pace/mile. Trying to take it easy on my legs.
Did 40 pushups, rode the bike easy for 25 minutes, then did 40 pushups. I have decided to make another 7 week go at 100.
Hoping that I have turned a corner against y cold, after skipping spin class last night, this afternoon I ran 2 miles very easily wih a heart rate of 132-136. No shortness of breath. Legs felt okay. Unless I relapse, I should be good to go on Sunday.
Battling this cold hard. If I win, it passes and I feel better, If I lose, it gets into my chest and I will be down and out at least another 2-3 weeks, if not more.
Did 60 pushups when I came home tonight, rather than doing the 20-20-22-22-18-18, then 60 plus.
Did 18, 18, 22, 20, 16, 16, then when I was suppossed to do 16, I kept going and did 56. I need to tape my next long attempt to analyse the pushups to make certain I am not cheating too much, not going completely parallell.
I made it to 50.
Start of Week 7 - last week of program.
Did a crossfit endurance workout, which was do 9 minutes flat out.
16-16-22-22-16-16-49 (I only had to do 48 so horray for me. I might have been able to do 50 if I had focused on that as a milestone. This was the easiest number for me to hit in a while, although I was still struggling at the end. I have hope for next week's goals of 50, 55 and 60.
I have been having some bilateral knee pain which I am attributing to standing up while cycling. I am going to hold off on standing on my Rides video and leave it to just the spin class and see if it improves.
