Swam to the Island and back tonight. there were just four other swimmers and i was last again, but I didn't swim too badly. Nothing beats open water swimming. I worked on my sighting and even on my stroke, keeping head down and breathing every third stroke.
Ran 2.4 Miles in 90 degrees with 35% humidity in 23:35. No triathlon tonight as I am watching Zoey.
Rode 7 easy miles at work, then I heard a hissing and low and behold a flat. I walked the bike back to the bay. I turned the bike over to get the wheel off and my water bottle started pouring out water (Memo: next time make certain water bottle spout is closed. I took the wheel off and then brought it into the air conditioning to change. I tried to do it from memory, and while I changed it, it took me a good 15-20 minutes, and I had to use my pump. I couldn't get the Co2 to work properly. definately need more practice on this. Rode a lap on the new tire and it was fine, then I got a call, then it was too dark to ride again.
Ran the neighborhood route 2.4 miles in 24:50. 74 degrees but 91% humidity. Ending heart rate was 148.
Ran 4.2 Miles easy in the neighborhood tonight. Weather was great. Took 46:30. Ending heart rate of 134.
Rode 7 miles first thing this morning. I didn't have a whole lot of energy and it was starting to get humid so I packed it in.
Ran the neighborhood in 25 minutes with an ending heart rate of 155. It was humid and hot. I would have run longer, but we were headed to the beech as I took the day off.
Rode 12 mils on the stationary bike at Cornerstone in 43:00. I was just planning to do 10 minutes warmup, then lift weights, but they had the Tour de France onthe TV so I ended up racing the whole time. I kept the cadence over a 100 and got my heart rate up to 112. Actually sweated, which is hard for me when biking.
Rode 29 miles in 2:20:00. I was aiming for 30, but was interrupted. i was definately going slower toward the end. This was a long slow ride at 12.4 mph.
swam a mile in new jersey in a very calm inlet with clear water. i got a slight jelly fish sting on my foot, but the wet suit protected me from any others. i work on my sighting and that is going well,. I also body glided my neck and had little chafing. Also worked on getting out of the wet suit, but stompiong on it and that worked well.
Ran 3.75 in 43 minutes in 80 degree heat with 80% humidity. A tough slow run at 7 in the AM. I was soaked with sweat and almost stopped. My ending heart rate was 152, but I had to slow several times as it edged up wo 160.
Ran it in 25 inutes tonight with an ending HR of 144 in the humidity. Everytime I ru, it seems like I am starting over. The hot weather hasn't helped, but i need to get on a better three day a week running schedule with a long run and a speecd workout rather than all these 2.4 mile easy runs.
Rode for an half hour this morning, but stopped because it was getting too humid, than rode 5 miles in 23 minutes later this evening before being interrupted by a call.
Rode 26.25 miles in a little over two hours at 12.8 mph. My goal was to ride as soon as I got to work, but I got a call before I could get on the bike. When I came back i got on it, and just kept going. once you reach a certain point is is easier to keep riding because each mile is all new territory. If I can once a week do a long bike at work, i will be quite pleased. My neck and back got a little stiff, but i was able to stretch and ride through it.
