3.5 Mile Run
Ran an easy 3.5 in the neighborhood untimed. Felt good.
My log of becoming a "triathlete" at age 48, and continuing through age 55.
Feeling very tired today with sore knees. Rode for 3 miles, took 20 minutes. It was very cold and i was trying to just spin.
Was fighting a cold/allergies for the week, plus not getting much time to work out, so I didn't work out. Then today, feeling better and having a little time, I took Zoey on the neighborhood run. Felt okay. When I got home, I coughed up several gobs of sticky bubbly allergy phlegm, then felt better. Zoey fell alseep on the run.
Ran with Zoey and it was hard. Getting ready for Saturday's race. My arms hurt as much as my legs and my back was stiff.
Both my knees are a little sore today from my hard mile yesterday.
ran a mile and a half on the treadmill, but the first quarter and the last were just warmup cool down to a one mile at 7.0 or about and 8:30 pace. I ran it easily with no shortness of breath, but i did sweat a fair amount, not unusual at the gym. I wanted to test to see if I got short of breath or not. the reason I think I was in Florida was the climate and running a little faster than I realized.
Did a trail run with my brother in Florida. Ran 20 minutes, walked a minute, ran 5, walked one, until we hit 42 minutes, then we walked the last short bit back. My body felt dead today and I didn't have the best wind. I don't know if it was the climate (it wasn't too humid), lifting weights yesterday as well as a 7 minute treadmill, running maybe faster than I thought (there were no mileage markers) or just not being in as good a shape I would like to be.
Felt tired at the gymn so I just ran two slow miles on the treadmill, and then lifted.
Rode 3 miles at work, then went to the track and ran three miles in 30-31 minutes based on my cell phone. It was great to be back at the track again,
Pumped some air in my tires until they were rock hard, rode 6 miles in a half hour. Nice to have some speed back,
Back on track.
