Got up to go run the 10k course, then went back to bed because I was tired and felt a hint of a sore throat. I woke up two hours later, feeling much more rested with no trace of a sore throat. I was only able to run the 5K at the reservoir due to time constraints. I felt short of breath, particularly at first, and don't feel I ran well. I ended up in 33:53 with the lap breakdowns as follows:
1 mile 10:19
2 mile 11:38 (HR - 158)
3.1 mile 11:56 (HR - 154) (10:50 mile)
Total pace (10:58)
I don't feel ready for the race. My legs feel fine, my cardio feels weak. I think the lack of cross training is probably hurting me.
