3.5 miles in 40:00
Went to the gym, determined to log a strong workout. Walked for five minutes, and then started running. I went off at 5.6 pace, hoping to keep my heart rate under in the 140-150 range. I was 144 after a mile, but then started rising in the high 150's, where I kept in most of the way. I had to gradually back off the pace to 5.0. I hit 3 miles in 34 minutes, but then kept going ending up with 3.5 in 40 with a heart rate of 158, which is 89%-90% of my MHR I finished up with a ten minute cool down walk and then some stretching.
My next run I would like to do 2 miles outside on asphalt to get ready for race conditions.
